The Infinity Roundtable
A small group of founders and management teams, every few weeks, in a private dining room in London. No presentations, no panel, no pitch. The Chatham House Rule applies, so nothing said in the room leaves it.
What happens
People arrive, everyone eats, and a conversation starts. A question might go on the table to get things going, but the best mornings are the ones where the host says the least. Founders end up talking about things they cannot raise with their board or their family: whether to take money off the table, what to do about a second in command who has stopped growing, whether last month's offer was any good.
Given what Infinity does, it usually ends up somewhere near M&A, though that is not the point of the morning.
Everyone in the room runs a business of a similar size. Most founders have nobody to ask.
You can use what you hear. You cannot say who said it. It is the reason people speak freely and everyone is held to it.
Not by Infinity and not by anyone else in the room. These exist because good conversations are how you meet people worth working with one day, and that only works if the morning is genuinely useful.
A table everyone can talk across. Bigger than that and it becomes an event, and events are much less useful than breakfasts.
The next one is in October. Places are limited and the group is kept balanced, so send a line about your business and you will hear whether there is room at the next table. If not, you stay on the list for the one after. andy@infinitycf.co.uk
